Some hundred participants with different cars from the 1920th up the present
time make the AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix to one of the most mannifold events of the year in
Germany. Every race of the historic cars was numeric well staffed and cars driven
by legends like Tazio Nuvolari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Phil Hill und Sterling Moss long ago ressurected
history.
The spectators were inspired by the Le Mans start demonstration and the following race
"Rheinland-Pfalz-Preis" with pit stop. In the paddock one had the possibility to be near
to his favorite car. Especially the 30 Ferraris in 6 different races and some hundred
road Ferraris inside the "Mercedes-Arena" were pleasing to the eyes. In the old paddock
there were some rare cars like a wonderful Ferrari 212 Inter Vignale Coupe or a
500 Mondial designed by Pininfarina.
