With this name the supervisors tie to the "Jim Clark Races" from 1969-1985 and celebrated premiere with the 1st international historic grand prix for the historic race series on the Hockenheim ring. At that time like today this meeting reminds of the F1 world champion, who had an deadly accident in April 1968 with his Lotus type 48 on the Hockenheim ring. Jim Clark, was considered at that time as the best race driver of the world. Apart from historical formula 1 and formula 2 racing cars were the Orwell Supersports Cup, the FIA Lurani Trophy, which represents FIA European championships for historical GT- and sports cars and the FIA TGP. In addition could be admired the Ferrari formula 1 cars from different years. The Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli on Ferrari 360 showed some interesting races with cars of the present. The Ferrari model club and the Ferrari club Germany had the chance to complete some rounds on the Hockenheim ring and to present their beautiful models the public. This large event with a record participation of 250 historic race cars in seven different categories was organized very well and should't be missed. |
