La Cavalleria 2005 La Cavalleria 2005 La Cavalleria 2005

"La Cavalleria", the outstanding collection of classic Ferrari of Mario Bernardi is located in an ancient riding school of 1902 in the beautiful city Hann-Muenden. About 20 cars are arranged in this affectionate restored hall on oak parquet. This collection never stays the same and it never rests. Some of these rare exemplares are for sale and Bernardi of course always recovers new interesting pieces. Some of them are historically very significant, so they might stay in his collection forever. Every vehicle is treated very well, because Mario Bernardi restores the cars together with two employees in their workshop. They pay high attention to quality and orginality and you can trust in the enormous expertise of Mario Bernardi. You can see that as well, when you look through "La Cavalleria". Several reports in many different magazines will also prove it. Mario Bernardi takes his time to enjoy these unique cars, because his second passion is photography. For every car he searches the matching background and he won't stop searching until he got the perfect settings. Thats the way he documents all cars that passed through his ownership. You can see that at www.mariobernardi.de You can already see at the website with wich kind of passion Mario Bernardi celebrates the brand Ferrari. With this kind of passion and of course a portion of willpower he aquired his collection. It began when he was a young boy and he stood infront of the Ferrari 512 BBi, which was brand new at that time. He immedially fell in love with its design. He dreamed about owning such a car anytime. Today he not just lives this dream. Beside actual two 512 BBi Bernardi owns outstanding classical Ferrari like the 212 Europe Pininfarina Berlinetta, that once was owned by Ingrid Bergmann. Futher on we find a wonderful 212 Export, bodied by Touring, a 225 Export by Vignale and a especial interesting 1951 212 Export Vignale Berlinetta, colored in French blue with a breathtaking racing history. This car with the chassisnumber 0096E was raced first at the 7th of May in 1951, only one week after delivery. The first owner, Jaques Peron raced the car during the 7-days international rallye of Marocco on the spur of the moment to first place. The firstly as a street version delivered 212 Export was modified step by step. At the 23. of June 1951 Peron already raced the little Ferrari at the 24 hours of Le Mans to a respectable 9th postition. As one of many following races the participation at the first Tour de France after the war should be mentioned. Peron finished the two weeks continuing race over a distance of more than 5000 km with a brilliant second place. All documents of delivery, letters from Enzo Ferrari and racing documents still exist and make the 212 Export to one of the most exciting cars of Mario Bernardis Collection. But there are other interesting cars like the first factory-build 365 GTB/4 Daytona Prototype with a chassis made of aluminum. Once Luigi Chinetti ordered this car back in 1969 for Le Mans. The car was raced in Sebring as well. To continue with Ferrari cars with great history, the 375 MM Pininfarina with the serial number 0376AM should be mentioned. In 1954 this car was launched in several races in the USA. After the 375 has been sold to Luigi Chinetti, it was raced at the Carrera Panamericana as well as in Sebring and Daytona. Without ruffle Mario Bernardi told us the history, races and speciality of every Ferrari in his collection. After several hours with exciting cars in this wonderful hall we had to turn back into everyday life. Many thanks to Mario Bernardi for this special day!
