Modena Motorsport Track Days 2007 |

Immediately after the 60 years celebration of Ferrari in Maranello, the Modena Motorsport Track Days took place. For some of the visitors - identifiable because of their coloring and the remarkable Pirelli-Caps - a good reason to make a pit-stop at the Nuerburgring on their way back home from Italy. But maybe because of the same reason, a lot of visitors stood away, because so many outstanding cars like in Maranello at the 60 years celebration are hard to beat. But particularly at the Track Days, always some really interesting cars show up. )

In spite of the bad weather conditions - in contrast to more than 30°C in Italy kind of winterly - several beautiful cars came up like the beautiful dark red Ferrari 250 Monza clothed by Scaglietti, a wonderful 250 Cabriolet of the rare series 1 or even the fantastic 365 P Spyder from 1964. )

Regular guest Jacky Ickx certainly appeared and this time he was lucky to meet some race driver colleagues of old times, David Piper and Brian Redman. Redman and Ickx once shared a Ferrari 312 PB and won the 1000km race at the Nuerburgring back in 1973. Now they celebrated reunion and once again raced the flat 312 PB. Piper, Ickx and Redman visibly enjoyed writing autographs and giving interviews. No where else you can be so close to famous race drivers and famous cars as well like at the Modena Motorsport Track Days. )

Some Formula 1 bolides roared together with the 312 PB and a 512 S. Beside the race cars, some wonderful street cars tried to win the viewers favor. The Ferrari types 365/512BB have been introduced to the public as special guests. The 30th birthday of this iconic Ferrari needed to be celebrated. For the second day it must have been Enzo Ferrari himself, who put in a word for better weather conditions. It mainly stood dry and punctual to the Concours d'Élégance even the sun came out.
