As the last representative "Testa Rossa", the Ferrari 330 TRI made history.
In a time, when mid engines were certified a glorious future, this car convinced everyone of its massive front engine power.

Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill raced the 330 TRI in the prototype category of the 1962 24h of Le Mans and declassed their rivals.
Despite of a flagging clutch and a stuttering engine, they brought the Ferrari with a big lead over the finish-line.
It was Gendebien`s 4th success in Le Mans and Ferrari won it`s 8th brand world championship.

The last kind of the front-engined generation was powered by a V12, which was used in the production car Ferrari 400 Superamerica in 1960.
Equipped with race technology, this engine activated 390hp out of 4l displacement.
First supplied by 3 big double carburettors, Ferrari installed 6 Weber double carburettors for the 24h of Le Mans. The only 685kg curb weight made the 330 TRI to a true bullet.
