Bodywork and chassis of the 860 Monza were the same used for the 12-cylinder Ferrari 290 MM .
The Spyder body was designed by Pinin Farina and built by Scaglietti.

Juan Manuel Fangio and Eugenio Castellotti won the 12 hours of Sebring with their Ferrari 860 Monza.
With a second position in the 1956 Mille Miglia and a second position in the Pebble Beach Del Monte Trophy, this car added a lot to the brand world championship title, wich went to Ferrari in 1956.
